The last few days have had no sunsets to publish; The sun hasn’t been visible at all, but today was a beautiful day and a quite nice sunset.

Finally… today we had a beautiful, sunny day.
It started off early morning with a mini-“Calima“, quite windy, and temperatures ocer 20 %deg;C already at 5-6 in the morning. We actually reached the highest temperature, 24.5 %deg;C, already at 10:10 in the morning. Considering that’s actually 9:10 but the “standard” time, and in fact something around “8:00” by the correct “solar” time (since the Canary Islands in fact are in the incorrect time zone, in relation to the sun), it was a bit strange to have the highest temperature so early in the morning. But the rest of the day was by no means cool, with brilliant sunchine, almost 1000 W/sq.m Solar Radiation, and – put on sunblock! – a UV index reaching 10.0, the day felt really hot. The solar radiotion helped our pool to heat up from about 18 °C in early morning, to about 24 °C in the late afternoon, causing some family members, and guests, to take their first swim for the year.
Barometer remains steady, at about 1026 hPa.
The day was rounded off by a beautiful sunset.

First day after switching to daylight savings time here, so the videos are later… I don’t think I’ll be able to continue posting them the same day, since the videos can’t be created until after sunset, an the processing of the videos takes a fair bit of time.
The day started our beautifully, and we finally got some sun, but in the afternon it clouded over again, and it got chilly… I still wonder when we’ll get a real sunny day; We are way overdue for some warmer weather!
But before the sun disappeared in clouds again we reached a high of 20.8°C. Barometer is steady, at approximately 1026 hPa.
Tomorrow is again forcasted to be sunny… But given the accuracy of the forcasts lately, I don’t really beleive it until I see it.
Heavy clouds in the eventing today, so no sunset video today.

I really wonder what happened to the sun we were supposed to get today…
Ok, the prognisis isn’t usually very accurate, but it called for a sunny day, and we had a throughly cloudy and gloomy day, all day. Not any hint of any sun at all. A light drizzle on and off a few times, wetting the ground, but not enough to be meseaurable in all day – meaning less than 0.2 mm.
High temperature today was 17.7 °C, and the relative humidity is currently 86%
Since we didn’t see the sun, naturally there is no sunset video today either.

A nice day, more comfortable, but it could have benefited from a bit more sun.
We reached the same high today as yesterday, 19.6 °C, and the barometer trend is still slightly rising, up to 1027 hPa now.
We still miss some really sunny days…

The last few days have been nothing to publish sunset-wise, but the sunset today was nice, having beutiful rays through the clouds for a while.
Unfortunately it was cut a bit short, the sun pematurely disappearing behind clouds.

A nice day mixed with sun and clouds, and the temperatures are slowly rising so it’s getting more comfortable.

The AEMET prognosis for tomorrow is for sunny weather, with about the same temperatures as today. We’ll see – they often predict it to be more sunny than it actually will be, but we are well overdue for some really nice sunny days now.

I couldn’t post yesterday, so here comes both yesterday and today…
Yesterday had a mix of clouds and light rain showers in the morning and a bit past midday, but later it get a bit better.
Today we finally had some sun, and we could see a bit of Teide, which now mostly is covered in snow, after the past aouple of weeks of precipitation, which on Teide came in the form of snow.
The clouds took over in the afternoon, but it still felt (and wsa) warmer than it has been the last couple of weeks. We reached a high of 18.0 °C, and the pressure has been rising, and is now up to 1024 hPa. Hopefully the weather will get steadier, and we’ll get some more sun the upcoming days.
