{"id":5,"date":"2015-01-04T12:00:51","date_gmt":"2015-01-04T12:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/weather.gldesign.se\/blog\/?page_id=5"},"modified":"2015-03-06T09:59:36","modified_gmt":"2015-03-06T09:59:36","slug":"my-weather-blog","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/weather.gldesign.se\/blog\/","title":{"rendered":"My Weather Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<!-- weather-720x90 -->\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1120870900851611\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"1277453862\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script><p>Hi, and welcome to my Weather blog.<br \/>\nHere I&#8217;ll write about what you see a lot of data about in the rest of the site &#8211; the weather in North <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tenerife\" target=\"_blank\">Tenerife<\/a>, Spain, and related subjects.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be surprised if any significant number of people will ever be interested in what I write; I&#8217;m just a part time weather buff, and an infrequent writer.<br \/>\nTo the left you find the blog posts I have made, so far.<\/p>\n<p>In this blog I occationally refer to my weather station, from which the data on the main site comes.<br \/>\nThe station is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davisnet.com\/weather\/products\/weather_product.asp?pnum=06163\" target=\"_blank\">Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus<\/a>, where the &#8220;Plus&#8221; indicates the station is equipped with extra sensors for UV Index and Solar Radiation &#8211; which are good to know here on (usually) sunny Tenerife.<br \/>\nYou can see the current and historical data from this weather station <a href=\"\/index.php\" target=\"_top\">here on my weather site<\/a>, and at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wunderground.com\/weatherstation\/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=ICANARIA46\" target=\"_blank\">Weather Underground<\/a>.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"1\" cellpadding=\"5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/images\/VantagePro2Plus.jpg\" alt=\"Davis Vantag Pro2 Plus (Wireless)\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/td>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/images\/anemometer.jpg\" alt=\"Anemometer\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>The actual weather station.<\/td>\n<td>The Anemometer is on the top of the roof.<br \/>\n(Yes, I know the chimney needs painting!)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Aside from the weather staion itself, I also have a couple of &#8220;Weather&#8221; cameras, recording the weather each day. \u00a0One camera, aimed toward mount <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Teide\" target=\"_blank\">Teide<\/a> (which is in fact a dormant volcano), records the weather from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset each day, taking one picture each minute.<br \/>\nAnother camera, aimed out towards the Atlantic ocean, records the sunsets each day. Most\u00a0days the sunsets are &#8220;normal&#8221;, but sometimes\u00a0they are quite spectacular.<br \/>\nThe recordings are published in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCkTIxSotoNIA6QtmsyqN1UA\" target=\"_blank\">my YouTube channel<\/a>, and select recordings also published here in my blog.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the current pictures from my Weather Cameras:<br \/>\n(Constantly updated during daylight hours.
