Weather Videos, 5, 6 & 7 April

I was unable to post the videos the past few days, so here comes the videos for 5, 6 & 7 April.
7 April we had a bit of rain – or rather, we ended up in a cloud for a while around noon – but we only got 1.4 mm of rain.

Weather Video, 3 April

I wasn’t able to post this last night, but here is comes…
It seems the sunny weather is gone for this time, and we are back to the cloudy days again, with no real warmth. Not spring-like at all, for being here in Tenerife. (Oh, back in Sweden where I come from, this would be normal “summer” weather, but this is Tenerife, and we are used to a bit warmer and more sun this time of year.)
We didn’t see the sun all day yesterday, and reached a high of 19.2 °C in mid-afternoon. Today has even been a couple of degrees cooler, but more about that when I post the video for 4 April.

Weather Video, 2 April

Today was forcasted to be as sunny as the previous few days, but turned out to be mostly cloudy, with just a couple of short glimpses of the sun.
We only reached 19.6 °C in the late afternoon – most of the day stayed at about 17 °C or less.
In spite of the clouds we reached a high of 9.9 for the UV Index, and the solar radiation reached 1130 W/sq.m. Both those values was ar 2:5 PM, when the sun broke through the clouds…

Weather Video, 30 March

Finally… today we had a beautiful, sunny day.
It started off early morning with a mini-“Calima“, quite windy, and temperatures ocer 20 %deg;C already at 5-6 in the morning. We actually reached the highest temperature, 24.5 %deg;C, already at 10:10 in the morning. Considering that’s actually 9:10 but the “standard” time, and in fact something around “8:00” by the correct “solar” time (since the Canary Islands in fact are in the incorrect time zone, in relation to the sun), it was a bit strange to have the highest temperature so early in the morning. But the rest of the day was by no means cool, with brilliant sunchine, almost 1000 W/sq.m Solar Radiation, and – put on sunblock! – a UV index reaching 10.0, the day felt really hot. The solar radiotion helped our pool to heat up from about 18 °C in early morning, to about 24 °C in the late afternoon, causing some family members, and guests, to take their first swim for the year.
Barometer remains steady, at about 1026 hPa.

The day was rounded off by a beautiful sunset.
